New Townhome Subdivision Proposed for Stanford Avenue

A new residential development is moving forward in Ward 11, with plans to bring townhomes to a vacant area on the north side of Stanford Avenue. The proposed Stanford Avenue Townhomes subdivision project, identified in City Council file 806-2026, aims to develop the land situated between West 37th Street and Pearl Road. According to the Stanford Avenue Townhomes Subdivision Plat, the subdivision involves the creation of Block "A," which includes Lots 1 through 6. The site spans approximately 0.11 acres, or 4,792 square feet. The plat maps show the project area is bordered by Stanford Avenue (formerly Willie Street) and West 37th Street (formerly Stape Street). This development follows previous reports that Greenlight Building Co. intended to build six townhomes on this specific site to support the nearby Pearl Road commercial corridor NEOtrans.
