New Weapons Screening Systems Approved for Cleveland Police Headquarters

These systems are intended to enhance the security of the new building for the Division of Police.
According to the 765-2026-Leg Summ, the contract covers the equipment, installation, maintenance, and annual software subscriptions for Evolv Express and Evolv eXpedite weapons screening systems. The total cost for these services is $456,378.00 over a four-year period, with funding provided by the Division of Police operating budgets. The legislation notes that the software subscriptions and maintenance are necessary to ensure the equipment remains fully operational. Passage of this measure was prioritized to ensure the screening systems are functional before the new headquarters officially opens.
