New Senior Lawn Care Program Coming to Ward 1
Residents in Ward 1 can expect new assistance with yard maintenance as the city moves forward with a specialized lawn care initiative for seniors. Through the passage of emergency ordinance 743-2026, the Director of the Department of Aging is authorized to partner with the Famicos Foundation to implement a Senior Lawn Care Program. This program will provide essential grass cutting and general maintenance services specifically designed to support elderly residents in the area.
The funding for this maintenance program is being drawn from Ward 1 Neighborhood Equity Funds. The chosen partner, Famicos Foundation, is a community development nonprofit corporation that focuses on neighborhood revitalization and social services within Greater Cleveland.
