Cleveland to Fund Reproductive Health Needs Assessment

Cleveland city officials are moving forward with a new initiative to better understand local health needs through a partnership between the Department of Public Health and The Center for Community Solutions. Under the terms of emergency ordinance 660-2026, the Director of Public Health is authorized to enter into an agreement to conduct a reproductive health and wellness community needs assessment. This project, which aims to gather data on the specific health requirements of local residents, will be funded using Casino Revenue Funds.

The Center for Community Solutions, which was organized in Cleveland in 1913 as the Federation for Charity & Philanthropy, will serve as the partner for this assessment. The organization functions as an independent, nonpartisan research center that works to improve health, social, and economic conditions in Ohio through data analysis and policy research. By utilizing specialized research and data, the assessment is intended to provide a clearer picture of reproductive health and wellness trends within the city.
