Cleveland City Council to Implement Accessible Digital Document Software
Cleveland City Council is moving to improve how residents access digital information through a new agreement to ensure public documents meet accessibility standards. As part of Ord. No. 654-2026, the Clerk of Council is authorized to partner with CivicPlus LLC to implement a software solution called DocAccess. This tool is intended to provide ADA-compliant, accessible documents for all public-facing digital content used by the City Council.
According to 654-2026 CivicPlus ORD, the agreement with CivicPlus LLC—a company that provides software solutions CivicPlus LLC - Company Profile and News - Bloomberg Markets—will last for one year, with an option to renew for one additional year. The initial cost for the first year is certified at $42,420, utilizing funds from department 0101. The legislation was introduced by Council Member Griffin and referred to the Committee on Finance, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
The ordinance has officially passed and was recorded in the City Record. Because it was passed as an emergency measure, it was designed to take effect immediately upon approval by the Mayor.
