New East Side TIF District Proposed to Fund Infrastructure and Development

City leaders are moving forward with a plan to create a new Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district aimed at boosting development on Cleveland's East Side. The proposal, introduced as emergency ordinance 615-2026, seeks to designate certain areas for public infrastructure improvements that would be exempt from traditional taxation in exchange for service payments.
