New Rowing Equipment and Lessons Coming to Cleveland Youth
Cleveland youth will soon have access to new rowing and safety equipment and lessons through the Cleveland Foundry Rowing Program. This initiative, authorized by emergency ordinance 595-2026, allows the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation to purchase the necessary materials to bring these activities to city neighborhood recreation and resource centers. The program is designed to provide hands-on rowing instruction and safety training for young residents across the city.
The funding for these materials and lessons will be sourced from Ward 3 Casino Revenue Funds. The Department of Parks and Recreation, which oversees various Neighborhood Resource and Recreation Centers, will manage the acquisition of the equipment. Residents can learn more about the city's various green spaces and community programming through the Parks & Recreation department. Further details regarding specific facility reservations or departmental contact information can be found via the Department of Parks & Recreation official website.
The ordinance has officially passed. Residents can watch for future updates regarding the specific neighborhood centers selected for the Cleveland Foundry Rowing Program and the scheduled dates for the upcoming rowing lessons.
