Design Services Expanded for Lorain Avenue Rehabilitation

Cleveland is moving forward with plans to improve the Lorain Avenue corridor, specifically the stretch running from West 65th Street to West 20th Street. To support this work, the City Council passed an emergency ordinance, identified as File No. 351-2026, which allows the Director of Capital Projects to amend an existing contract with Michael Baker International, Inc. This amendment is intended to provide the additional design services necessary to enhance the overall scope of the Lorain Avenue rehabilitation project for the Office of Capital Projects.

The selected firm, Michael Baker International, Inc., is an engineering and consulting firm Source Name that has previously supported major local infrastructure, such as acting as a lead designer for the Opportunity Corridor project Source Name. This current legislative action modifies Contract No. CT-0103-PS2023*0338 to ensure the design team can accommodate the expanded requirements for the Lorain Avenue roadway improvements.
